Reminder - you have until September 8th to drop of your dry goods at Scheels for the Tackle Hunger campaign for Feeding South Dakota. Make sure to drop them off in the "Lincoln" bin. Winning school receives $5,000 at the President's Bowl on Saturday!

The Lincoln JROTC was busy this Labor Day weekend! This past Friday, they helped at the food giveaway at the Fairgrounds. On Monday, they put up flags at the USS South Dakota Memorial at Sherman Park in honor of Labor Day. Great job, Cadets!

Today, the City of Sioux Falls and Sioux Area Metro pulled up at Roosevelt High School to explain the public transit "Kids Ride Free Initiative." As the city works to increase ridership and build future transit users, children can ride SAM buses with a School ID/Freedom Pass.

Let's Tackle Hunger before the President's Bowl! Scheel's is hosting a food drive competition from Sept. 1st-8th. Each SF high school will have a donation bin for dry goods for the week. The winning school will receive a $5,000 donation and be announced at halftime. Go Pats!

A couple of fun activities tonight if you are looking to watch the Pats in action:
Girls tennis: Lincoln (3-1) vs. O'Gorman (6-0) @ Kuehn Park 4:00 PM
JV football: Jefferson vs. Lincoln on the new turf at LHS! 4:15 PM

School drop-offs and pick-ups can be messy! Take your time, stay alert, and obey the rules of the road. A safe and orderly process makes the day start and end on a positive note for both students and parents!

A number of our athletic teams (Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, Volleyball, Boys Golf) have already begun their seasons and are off to great starts! Tonight, our football team kicks off for their first game of the season against Roosevelt. See you there!

Students were welcomed back to school this morning by a wonderful performance by our LHS Drum Line!

We are extremely excited to see all of our returning and incoming Patriots tomorrow for the first official school day! Students - please follow this schedule tomorrow. Can't wait to see you all, Go Pats!
